Queerobics West Philly
Queerobics West Philly is a collectively-run, accessibility-centered dance aerobics class and dance theater performance all in one. This project is led and steered by queer and trans dance artists, performers of all flavors, anti-oppression fitness folks, public health workers, and chronically ill community members.
We aim to celebrate moving together, both literally and metaphorically, toward an anti-ableist, anti-racist, fat liberationist, consent-centered practice.
Collectively led by Dance Captains: Court Craig, Leigh Huster, CJ Jasen, K.C. Jones, Eli Kim, & Ash Kole
Queerobics was awarded a 2023 Teaching Grant from The Movement Foundation, and a 2024 TRANSFORM Business Grant for bringing more accessible and inclusive movement to the Philly community.
